(On the Patrol GQ TD42 engine with a silver valve cover prior to 1995, the vacuum pump was mounted on the rear of the alternator. With the change to the black valve cover in 1995, the vacuum pump was mounted on the timing case cover, and this also applies to all GU engines.)
