The Sloppy Stage 2 camshaft is a camshaft with a fairly aggressive profile. It offers a pleasingly rough idle and produces plenty of power at a low cost. This camshaft is a great choice for everyday drivers who enjoy a pleasantly rough idle. Ideal for cars, trucks, SUVs, street rods, and LS conversions. This camshaft won't go unnoticed; it sounds like a muscle car. Everyone will notice this streetfighter. Automatic vehicles work best with a 2,600-2,800 stall converter.
Whether you have a stock or a heavily modified LS engine, it is highly recommended that you replace your rocker arms with a true roller bearing assembly. The stock bearings are prone to failure. These rocker arms are a must for any aggressive head and cam combination, and they are the same rocker arms we use on our 1,000 hp turbo engine. We use LS rocker arms and install a new LS1 rocker arm upgrade kit, which replaces the cageless, loose OEM needle bearings and sintered metal journal with a high-grade 8620 steel alloy journal and caged roller bearings for added durability. The caged roller bearings greatly reduce the possibility of bearing failure, which occurs with stock LS1 needle bearings and, if they fail, can send loose needles flying through the engine.
