The oil pump intake pipe seal is an O-ring located between the oil pump and the intake pipe in the Opel Insignia 2.0 CDTI diesel engine. Its primary function is to completely seal the connection between the two. Over time, however, the seal hardens and allows oil to pass through. This creates a leak that reduces lubrication pressure, potentially leading to critical engine failure.
Our aluminum sleeve gasket, which connects the oil pump to the intake pipe, replaces a defective original oil pump intake pipe gasket that can lead to engine damage. The new sleeve gasket creates a permanent connection between the oil pump intake pipe and the oil pan, thus correcting this manufacturing defect in the engine. It will not deform like the original gasket. The kit includes O-rings made of Viton, a temperature- and oil-resistant material. Replacing the old gasket is simple: just remove the old gasket and replace it with our sleeve.
