Description
This clamp is designed for CNC-machined 6061 aluminum forks with tight tolerances. For improved holding power, we typically allow only about 0.004 mm of play. This clamp is essential for fork and shock conversions. It fits numerous forks and shocks from FOX, RockShox, Manitou, and DVO. Please ensure it is suitable for your application. It is 0.630 mm thick and very deep for additional vise clearance. It is deep enough for the FOX X2 and other large-diameter shocks.
Aluminum is superior to plastic versions because it has a better holding force (plastic versions don't hold securely enough with these smaller hole sizes). Furthermore, it's so robust that it extends beyond the vise, thus providing more clearance. Plastic quickly loses its holding force once it passes the vise jaw.
