This 8mm/10mm mini clamp is space-saving and can be used with adjustable pliers in an emergency. CNC machined from 6061 aluminum, this clamp ensures a tight fit. For improved holding power, we generally allow only about 0.003 inches of play. This clamp is a must-have for fork and shock conversions. It fits many forks and shocks from FOX, RockShox, Manitou, and DVO. Please ensure it is compatible with your application. The thickness is 0.620 inches.
Aluminum is superior to the plastic versions because it has a better holding force (plastic struggles to hold firmly enough with these smaller hole sizes). It's also rigid enough to extend beyond the vise jaws, thus creating more space. Plastic quickly loses its holding force once it protrudes beyond the vise jaws.
