Whether you have a stock LS engine or a heavily modified LS engine, it is highly recommended that you replace your rocker arms with a true roller bearing setup. The stock bearings have a knack for failure. These rocker arms are a must for any aggressive head and cam combination and are the same rocker arms we use on our 1,000-hp turbo engine. We use LS rocker arms and install a new LS1 rocker arm retrofit trunnion kit, which replaces the cageless, loose OEM needle bearings and powder-metal trunnion with a high-quality 8620 steel alloy trunnion and cage roller bearings for added durability. The cage roller bearings greatly reduce the possibility of bearing failure, which occurs with stock LS1 needle bearings that, upon failure, can send loose needles flying through the engine.
