Engine Brake Adjustment Tool 7mm 3163530 Brake Feeler Gauge for Cummins ISX Generic

Instructions:
1. Loosen the lock nut on the brake lever adjusting screw and turn the adjusting screw back one turn.
2. Insert the feeler gauge (7 mm-3163530) between the underside of the engine brake piston and the top of the exhaust valve pin on the exhaust valve crosshead.
3. Tighten the adjusting screw until resistance is felt on the feeler gauge (Correct resistance means that the camshaft tappet of the brake lever does not move against the cam nose).
4. Hold the adjusting screw of the engine brake lever firmly and tighten the lock nut.

Note:
1. Do not insert a feeler gauge between the valve stem and the base of the exhaust valve adjusting screw, as this will result in incorrect clearance.
