This is a laser-cut cover plate made from 1.5 mm thick 304 stainless steel. It has been tumbled to smooth it and give it a rough surface that provides a better seal and removes any sharp edges (so you don't cut your fingers).
It ensures cleaner acceleration at lower RPMs because the exhaust gas is recycled. The check engine light will illuminate. If the EGR valve has been deactivated in the ECU, it's best to have the plate without a hole.
Suitable for: 1, 2 & 1.6 TDI CR (Common Rail) engines as pictured, used in VW, Audi, Seat, and Skoda vehicles. For inquiries, please provide the 4-digit engine code (e.g., CAYC, CAYA, etc.).
Not compatible with later Euro 5 or Euro 6 engines
