Installation steps:
Step 1: Check if the vehicle is inoperative by attempting to start it; the engine should not start. Once this is confirmed, proceed to Step 2.
Step 2: Locate the vehicle battery (usually under the hood, sometimes in the trunk). Once you have checked this, proceed to step 3.
Step 3: Ensure the ignition key is removed. (The ignition key MUST NOT be in the "On" position in the ignition.) Connect the charged Milwaukee M18 battery to the Milwaukee jump-start adapter. (Note: Once the battery is connected, the terminals will be live.) After verification, proceed to Step 4.
Step 4: Leave the Milwaukee jump starter connected to the vehicle battery for 3–5 minutes. After 3–5 minutes, disconnect the M18 battery from the Milwaukee jump starter. Once the function has been verified, proceed to step 5.
Step 5: Remove the Milwaukee jump-start adapter from the vehicle. After complete removal, try to start the vehicle. If this fails, repeat steps 3 through 5. Please increase the duration of step 5 from 3–5 minutes to 5–7 minutes.
