Introduction to PiKVM:
PiKVM is a remote management solution based on open-source software and hardware technology. It can establish a remote connection via the Raspberry Pi, power the computer on/off or restart it, and even reinstall the operating system using virtual software. With a CD-ROM or flash drive, you can emulate a keyboard, mouse, and monitor and then view them in a web browser as if you were working directly on the remote system. It does not rely on a remote port, protocol, or service!
BliKVM Hat product launch:
The BliKVM Hat version is a hardware device based on the Raspberry Pi 4B and used for KVMOverIP. Hat's main features include HDMI video capture, ATX control, PoE power supply, OLED screen display, and RTC clock protection and heat dissipation. It can be installed in a 1U rack and supports both BlikVM and PikVM mirrors.
Accessory introduction:
ATX module
The ATX module is connected to the computer's motherboard via a DuPont cable.
ATX modules are supplied with full and half height PCIe frames.
USB/PWR distribution board
The RPI4 port is used to connect to the Raspberry Pi 4B.
The USB port is used to connect to the controlled computer.
When using a PoE power supply, the use of a power distribution box is not required.
HDMI Simulator
If the controlled computer cannot output the screen correctly, you can try to solve the problem with this module. After connecting this module to the HAT, connect it to the controlled computer using an HDMI cable.
USB/PWR distribution board
The metal housing protects the cap and dissipates heat. Each port on the housing has a transparent silkscreen print indicating its purpose. This housing can easily be installed in a 1U rack.
Hardware details:
HDMI input
The bridge chip is a Toshiba TC358743, which supports both video and audio (I2S). The maximum input resolution is 1080p at 50 frames per second. The HDMI return current issue has been resolved.
CN-ATX
The CN-ATX interface is connected via a network cable to the ATX adapter board (accessory for HAT), which can turn the controlled computer on, off and restart it.
show
White OLED display with 128x32 resolution and SSD1306 chip. This display can show the temperature, IP address, and other information of the Raspberry Pi.
POE
Standard: IEEE 802.3af PoE Input voltage: 37–57 VDC Output power: 5 VDC/2.4 A
Plug in the PoE jumper cap and activate the PoE power supply.
fan
The IPKVM HAT houses a small fan that is controlled by your Raspberry Pi via GPIO12.
