Installation:
Installation takes about 1 hour with basic hand tools on the floor of your driveway or garage. It will be faster if you have an automotive-style lift. Cutting may be required to fit shorter wheelbase bed/cab configurations. You may need to reuse some factory hardware.
Tuner required: Removing the DPF, CAT, SCR, and/or DOC requires removing and disabling emissions-related sensors. A tuner who can perform the DPF removal is required to prevent the check engine light or diagnostic trouble codes from being triggered.
Benefits: Expect a significant improvement in fuel economy. If your DPF is clogged, you'll likely average around 13-14 mpg. Depending on the severity of the blockage, the figure may be higher or lower. After removing the DPF/CAT, you can expect a combined mileage of 18-19 mpg.
