Suitable for the following models:
The kit can be used on the XL models from 1965–1983 and the FL models from 1941–1969 if the generator screw holes in the engine casing are drilled to 5/16 inch.
Alternators have 5/16" 24 mounting holes for screws. You should convert 12-volt generators with 5/16-24 threads to 1/4-24 threads to accommodate the previous mounting screw set.

Note:
The black louver regulator is not installed and must be mounted separately.
It can be mounted in the original position on models with top and side valves. The cables do not include connectors.
The regulator can be used with the 32E 12-volt alternator conversion unit, the 17-amp alternator generator conversion kit, and the 17-amp 12-volt alternator generator conversion kit.
