EXCELLENT PERFORMANCE: The DC97-16509B flange shaft assembly connects the basket to the drive motor for basket rotation and resolves the following symptoms: excessive shaking of the front-loading washing machine or very loud noise during the rotation cycle. The DC60-40137A hex bolt and the DC69-00804A gasket secure the shaft assembly to the washing machine. Place the washing machine tub in a suitable location for proper machine operation.
EASY INSTALLATION: Tools needed for the repair: screwdriver, socket wrench and ratchet, pliers, and a flashlight. We recommend watching a YouTube video for installation instructions. Installing the spider arm itself doesn't take long, but disassembling everything to access the part does take some time. We also recommend applying a rust-preventative coating to the washer flange shaft to effectively prevent corrosion and part failure.
