Use high-temperature dielectric grease for all connectors.

How do you distinguish a CDI box with AC ignition from a CDI box with DC ignition?
If the headlights turn on without the engine running (only with the key in the ignition), it's a DC system. With an AC system, the engine must be running to turn on the headlights. Another indicator is if the engine can only be run on battery power. If it runs without a battery, it's an AC system.

What does the voltage regulator do?
The function of this regulator is to convert the alternating voltage (AC) generated by the alternator into the direct voltage (DC) of 12 V used in the vehicle electrical system and to keep the voltage within a certain range.
The voltage regulator is also responsible for ensuring that the battery is charged and the light bulbs do not burn out.

How do I know if the charge controller might be defective?
- Incandescent light bulbs keep burning out.
- The headlights become brighter and dimmer.
- The battery is constantly dead.
