Replace all burnt or corroded connections on the stator and regulator/rectifier.
Check and repair any melted cables.
Use a high-temperature dielectric grease on all connectors.
How do you distinguish between a CDI box with AC ignition and a CDI box with DC ignition?
If the headlights turn on without the engine running (only with the key), it's a DC system. With an air conditioning system, the engine must be running for the headlights to turn on.
