This 38K kit includes a gooseneck ball and gooseneck safety chain loops that easily slide into the factory gooseneck hitch system on Ram trucks using the 5th wheel gooseneck hitch preparation kit. The components also come in a rugged carrying case for convenient storage when not in use. NOTE: The factory OEM gooseneck hitch system is required for installation.
The Ram gooseneck ball in this kit features a patented design. It is equipped with a simple lever and retaining balls that allow it to be easily dropped into the gooseneck trailer hitch center plate and locked with a simple quarter turn. The gooseneck ball has a diameter of 2-5/16 inches and is rated for 38,000 lbs. GTW and 9,500 lbs. vertical load. For reliable strength and safety, the gooseneck ball is constructed from forged and machined alloy steel with a polished chrome finish and thoroughly tested to US VESC V-19 specifications.
