This is a laser-cut throttle plate made from 1.5 mm stainless steel.
It ensures smoother throttle response at low engine speeds by reducing the amount of recirculated exhaust gas. The opening prevents the check engine light from illuminating, which would occur if the valve were completely blocked. If the EGR valve has been deactivated in the engine control unit, a plate without an opening is recommended. The surface is grooved to ensure a better seal and prevent cuts.
It features slots for easier installation and is easily accessible. The images in the header show where the plate fits.
This part is NOT compatible with the new Euro 6 engines (EA288), engine code CXMA. These engines have the intercooler bolted to the cylinder head and a completely different EGR system.
