This is a laser-cut cover plate made from 1.5 mm thick 304 stainless steel. It has been tumbled to smooth it and create a rough surface that ensures a better seal and removes any sharp edges (thus preventing cuts).
It ensures a cleaner intake tract at lower engine speeds because the exhaust gas is recirculated. The check engine light will illuminate. If the EGR valve has been deactivated by the ECU, it is best to use the plate without a hole.
SUITABLE FOR: 1, 2 & 1.6 TDI CR (Common Rail) engines as pictured in VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda. If needed, please inquire, providing the 4-digit engine code, e.g., CAYC, CAYA, etc.
Not suitable for later Euro 5 or Euro 6 engines.
