Note: This only applies to diesel engines, not to petrol engines.
This is a laser-cut cover plate made of 1.5 mm thick stainless steel. It has been smoothed and has a roughened surface for a better seal and to remove any sharp edges (preventing cuts). It is slotted for easy installation and access.
It ensures cleaner acceleration at lower engine speeds because the exhaust gas is recycled. The engine management light illuminates.
SUITABLE FOR: 1, 2 & 1.6 TDI CR (Common Rail) engines as pictured in VW, Audi, Seat, Skoda. If you need assistance, please ask and provide the 4-digit engine code, e.g., CAYC CAYA ECT
Not suitable for late Euro5 and Euro6 engines, as these have an internal EGR system and therefore cannot be blocked with a plate.
