EGR valve blanking plate for Ford MK7 Transit 2.2 2.4 tdci
This plate is made of 2 mm thick, soft aluminum and is laser-cut. It has been smoothed and has a rough surface, which also ensures a better seal and removes all sharp edges.
If your engine management light comes on intermittently or you experience a drop in performance, the EGR valve is most likely the culprit. It fits the MK7 and is located between the EGR cooler (transmission side) and the EGR valve. The EGR valve isn't easily accessible, so the mounting plate is slotted to simplify installation. It's easier to access from underneath the van on the rear-wheel-drive side, where there's unobstructed access. Simply loosen the screws, slide the plate in, and then tighten the screws again. Please note that the EML (engine management light) will illuminate, but the engine will not enter limp mode. After installation, the EGR valve may need to be disconnected to achieve the correct results. To prevent the EML from illuminating, the ECU would need to be reprogrammed to disable/not search for the EGR valve.
It doesn't fit the mixer on the intake manifold (it looks like a valve). The engine won't start otherwise!
