Description:
This plate is made of laser-cut 1.5 mm thick 304 stainless steel and has the same shape as the EGR connecting pipe. It was processed in a vibratory plate compactor (a noisy machine full of plastic blocks) to smooth it and create a roughened surface, which ensures a better seal and removes any rough or sharp edges.
It allows for a cleaner response at lower engine speeds, as it prevents the recirculation of exhaust gases, especially when they are dirty or blocked.
The plate is mounted between the cylinder head and the pipe leading to the EGR valve housing.
