The 1/8-27 NPT fuel pressure damping valve regulates, normalizes, and eliminates fuel pressure spikes throughout the fuel system during ignition and starting for Dodge Ram Cummins diesel engines. The damping valve limits these high pressure spikes using a regulator. High pressure spikes in the fuel system are damaging and can lead to premature and unexpected failure of electronic fuel pressure sensors or senders for fuel pressure gauges. In some applications and situations, these high pressure spikes result in premature sensor failure.
This damping valve is designed for inline installation between the pressure port of the diesel fuel system and the fuel pressure sensor unit.
