The CCV Internal Catch Can (ICC) is designed to remove oil molecules from the crankcase ventilation vapor, utilizing the cavity inside the 6.7 Powerstroke valve cover to act as a catch can. This part offers the customer all the benefits of a catch can without its drawbacks. Unlike other catch cans that require external mounting or emptying, the CCV ICC requires neither. The CCV ICC features a notch in the partition so that when overpressure is released (e.g., when the vehicle is switched off), the oil can drain back into the pan. This results in a maintenance-free design with all the advantages of a catch can.
The CCV's internal collection chamber was carefully designed to ensure minimal pressure drop across the baffles. Further details can be found in the illustrations. This virtually unimpeded airflow while continuing to filter the oil from the vapor. This also significantly reduces odors and oil droplets.
It was also taken into account that some customers may have a CCV rerouting kit from another brand in their vehicle. The CCV Internal Catch Can was designed to work with almost all kits on the market, although its design and flange shape best complement the CCV rerouting kit. The CCV ICC is a great option for high-performance applications with high crankcase power/flow, or for customers who simply want to reduce odor or vapor emissions.
