Most diesel vehicles manufactured after 2007 are equipped with a diesel particulate filter (DPF) for emissions reasons. However, this device also has some disadvantages, including constant maintenance and repairs.
As the DPF becomes clogged, the back pressure increases. This pressure severely disrupts and slows down the fuel flow. Removing the filter therefore allows the fuel to flow much more easily and quickly, which increases overall fuel consumption.

Installation:
Installation takes about 1 hour with basic hand tools and can be done on the floor of your driveway or garage. It's faster if you have a car-style lift. Shorter wheelbases on the truck bed and cab may require some trimming. Clamps, hangers, and hardware are included. You may need to reuse some factory hardware.
Tuner required: Removing the DPF, CAT, SCR, and/or DOC involves removing and eliminating emissions-related sensors. A tuner with a DPF deletion function is required to prevent the illumination of check engine lights or diagnostic trouble codes.
Benefits: You can expect a significant improvement in fuel consumption. If your DPF is clogged, your average fuel consumption is likely around 13-14 mpg, depending on the severity of the blockage. After removing the DPF/CAT, overall fuel consumption is expected to be 18-19 mpg.
It is no longer necessary to service the DPF at regular intervals (cleaning, replacement).
Deleting the DPF eliminates the possibility of a DPF failure, which could lead to expensive diesel repairs.
Due to the reduced exhaust back pressure, deleting the DPF increases the exhaust flow and thus boosts the performance of your engine!
In conjunction with a remapping of the engine electronics, DPF removal demonstrably increases the power and torque of all vehicles.
