Filling kit for boat venting kit
Characteristics:
1: WIDE COMPATIBILITY: This bleed kit is compatible with Seastar hydraulic steering systems. Used to top up your boat's steering fluid.
2: FUNCTION: The Seastar Bottle to Helm Tube facilitates the filling or bleeding of SeaStar, BayStar, or Hynautic steering systems. The kit includes a hose with a screw cap that fits SeaStar or equivalent oil bottles. The end of the tube includes a fitting that screws into the Helm pump. A custom-designed bridge tube connects to the bleed ports on the steering cylinder.

2: Standard Seastar helmet-to-bottle fitting - do not puncture bottle (PN: HA5430H)
3: Custom bridge pipe connects vent port to steering cylinder.
Installation instructions:
1: Attach the bottle to the helmet reservoir (do not puncture the bottle) (do not let the bottle run dry)
2: Connect the bridge pipe to the vent connections on the steering cylinder and loosen/open the connections.
3: Use the rudder to pump fluid through the system by turning the wheel in one direction. Air bubbles will be forced into the reservoir at the helm.
4: Manually swivel the outboard motor through its full articulation to release any trapped air and confirm proper venting.
5: Note: If the vent ports are oriented upwards while fluid is being pumped with the rudder, air may escape from the cylinder.
6: Repeat steps 3-4 as needed until no more air is visible in the bridge tube.
7: Tighten the vent connections before removing the bridge pipe.
