New spark plug indexing tool from Moroso. This tool is used to identify the position of the electrode on the installed spark plug.
For maximum performance and fuel consumption, all electrodes should point in the same direction and towards the exhaust valve.
When the electrode opening points towards the exhaust valve, combustion is normally optimal.
If the electrode opening points too far towards the inlet valve, this can cause the spark to go out, especially in turbo and compressor applications.
Once you have determined the position of the electrode, you can find out what thickness of indexing disc is required to index the connector correctly.
Indexing discs are available separately and come in both conical and flat designs in various thicknesses. This listing applies to the tool only.
